Barnes Stringer - Junior Osteopath
Barnes Stringer graduated from the University College of Osteopathy with a master’s degree and also holds a Sports Massage Level 3 qualification.
Barnes works in the Tetbury Clinic.
Unusually Barnes is also a qualified accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and has a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies and so is well placed to empathise with how prolonged periods of time sat at a desk can contribute to lower back pain and neck pain.
It is in fact for this reason that Barnes decided to retrain from being an accountant to becoming an osteopath; having suffered with pain for a long time. He is passionate about what he does and works in his own clinic in his hometown of Bristol. He employs a variety of techniques including joint articulation, soft tissue massage, spinal and joint manipulation or adjustment, with a view to restoring longer term function.
He has experience in providing osteopathic treatment in elderly care homes, children’s clinics, a hospital, an HIV clinic and a homeless shelter in his spare time he enjoys playing football and is a keen runner, running weekly with Southville runners and at local parkruns. He is married with two children the youngest of which is now quicker than him over 5k. He is a relatively bad golfer, Bristol Rovers fan and frustrated guitarist.
